Despondent visual decodes the social and economic dilemma of a middle class everyman who is foundering his way through a nondescript career. It is an image of an individual who has been deceived by the established rules of society and culture only to find out that his “American Dream” does not exist. And yet, he capitulates to endure another day, trapped in a failing life of financial insecurity with the constant fear of being outsourced or downsized.
